Our Environmental Commitment

TE AquAlign Systems Inc. has a fundamental commitment to the environment and has committed the organization to a “cradle-to-cradle” business philosophy.

In the design phase of TE AquAlign™ Systems, we established a goal of ensuring that our product would be as fully recyclable as was possible. This objective was of particular importance to our cartridge design due to the need for annual cartridge replacement; hence we have constructed our cartridges in accordance with the three “R” criteria… Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. As a result, when we receive an expended cartridge at our facility, the cartridge is disassembled and each component is evaluated for re-purposing; the components that pass this Quality Control check are sterilized, revaluated, and where possible, re-purposed. Since our cartridges are constructed of over 98% recyclable material, any components that are rejected by Quality Control are sent to be recycled into new products!

Our goal is to have 100% of the expended cartridges, upon replacement, returned to us so that the components can be managed according to the three R’s. To support this goal, and more completely service our customers, we have created a program we call the “3R Commitment”.

3R Commitment Program

This program has been developed for the benefit of both our customers* and our environment.

For our customers:
The program provides a worry-free automatic method of ensuring that a new cartridge is delivered to their place of business annually from the date of system install… a method for disposing of the spent cartridge, and all at a significant cost-savings!

For the environment: The program ensures the spent cartridge is returned to us for re-purposing and recycling (for the components that can’t be re-purposed). In this way, a spent cartridge never ends up in the landfill.

The Process…
When the customer orders a TE AquAlign™ System, they will be offered the opportunity to sign a 3R Commitment Service Agreement. This agreement ensures that once per year, for each of the 3 years covered under the agreement, they will automatically be shipped a new replacement cartridge (matching the original) to their place of business. When the new cartridge arrives, the customer simply replaces the spent cartridge with the new one, places the spent cartridge in the shipping carton that the new cartridge was sent in (reuse again), affix the pre-printed address label sent with the new cartridge, and ships it back to us.

The Details…
As a part of the Service Agreement, the customer must provide us with complete contact information and a valid credit card number (VISA/MasterCard). Two weeks prior to the anniversary date of their original purchase, we will package a new cartridge (with the same specs as the original) and ship it to the address we have on file. At the time of shipping, the customer will be charged (using the credit card # as provided) for the replacement cartridge at full retail (plus any applicable shipping and taxes). When we receive the returned spent cartridge, the customer’s credit card will be credited the difference between full retail and the 3R Commitment pricing… a 35% of MSRP credit simply for returning the spent cartridge!

It’s just that simple! And we are truly just that committed to doing business in a sustainable & environmentally responsible way!

*Note: Program currently available ONLY in North America
